Bloomfield River – Far North Queensland
In August 2025, North Marine delivered cargo transport, pile removal, and pontoon installation at Bloomfield River. Using Pacific Ranger and WBIV, over 69 tonnes of cargo were mobilised, supported by onsite dive operations. An ADAS-certified team safely removed submerged piles, demonstrating North Marine’s fleet capability, flexible logistics, and expertise in high-risk environments.
Double Island Make Safe Clean Up – Cairns, Queensland
North Marine delivered the ‘Double Island Make Safe Clean Up’ project in two well-coordinated phases in May / June 2025. Operating in a remote and environmentally sensitive setting, our team successfully removed all identified derelict materials (including submerged pontoons, abandoned machinery and disused glamping structures). The project greatly enhanced site safety and environmental quality, highlighting North Marine’s capability to manage complex logistics and deliver reliable outcomes in challenging field conditions.
Cargo Delivery – Hicks Island, Queensland
North Marine was contracted to deliver essential cargo and fuel to Hicks Island, mobilising the Pacific Ranger to tow the barge Clarence, which carried fuel and supplies critical to island operations.
Our experienced crew navigated challenging conditions and executed precise logistics planning to ensure a safe, on-time delivery with minimal disruption to island activities. From managing heavy equipment transport to securing fuel logistics, North Marine showcased its capability in remote-area marine transport.
Generator Delivery – Lizard Island, Queensland

Cyclone ‘Jasper’ Recovery – Cairns and Far North Queensland
Cyclone ‘Jasper’, a severe tropical cyclone that struck Far North Queensland in December 2023, caused widespread damage across the Cairns region and several Cape communities. ‘Jasper’ brought destructive winds, heavy rainfall, and flooding, leaving many areas in urgent need of support.
Barge Relocation Towage – Port of Brisbane to Skardon River, Queensland
North Marine was engaged to conduct an urgent tow of a 70.3-meter cargo barge from the Port of Brisbane to Skardon River in Queensland, via Cairns.
Tugboat Assist for Bulk Carrier’s Ocean Crossing in the Torres Strait
North Marine provided a tugboat assist to a 180m cargo bulk carrier from Bligh Entrance through the Prince of Wales Channel in the Torres Strait, Queensland
Tropical Cyclone & Severe Weather Evacuation Assistance for Vessels – Cairns Marlin Marina, Queensland
North Marine provides marina evacuation assistance in the Port of Cairns in the event of forecasted severe weather, tropical cyclones and closures directed by the Regional Harbour Master.
Technical Support to Bulk Carrier – Emergency Queensland Launch Service to Hay Point, Mackay, Queensland
North Marine crew were mobilised to provide urgent technical support to a 44,000-ton international bulk carrier, whose anchor chain was entangled off the coast of Mackay, QLD.
Installing a Cyclone-Rated Boat Swing Mooring in the Torres Strait
North Marine is contracted to install a cyclone-rated, 360° boat swing mooring at Port Kennedy, Thursday Island in the Torres Strait for the state-Government owned shipping company, Sea Swift.
