Yachtie Moorings – Far North Queensland

North Marine provides complete yachtie mooring renewals, new mooring installations and authorised mooring relocations for recreational vessel owners across Far North Queensland. Scheduled twice annually in February and September, all installations are completed using brand-new, MSQ-compliant mooring systems.

Salvage of ‘Turtle Cat’ – Liverpool Creek, Queensland

Between April and June 2026, North Marine undertook a complex salvage operation to recover Turtle Cat from the Liverpool Creek system south of Innisfail. Following multiple recovery attempts and the implementation of a revised lift bag recovery methodology, the vessel was successfully refloated, recovered and removed for disposal.

Offshore Personnel Support – Willis Island, Coral Sea

In May / June 2026, North Marine supported Aestra’s weed management program on Willis Island by providing marine transport, offshore accommodation and daily personnel transfers. Utilising M.V. Komodo as the primary support vessel, North Marine enabled safe and reliable access to one of Australia’s most remote offshore locations.

Salvage of ‘Juniper’ – Magnetic Island, Queensland

In May 2026, North Marine provided specialist salvage support for the recovery of Juniper, an approximately 25-tonne sailing vessel submerged in Horseshoe Bay, Magnetic Island. Working alongside NQ Marine Tow & Salvage, the team successfully refloated, dewatered and recovered the vessel following a challenging three-day salvage operation.

Salvage of ‘Angela B’ & ‘Ina’ – Tully Heads, Queensland

In April / May 2026, North Marine completed the salvage and disposal of the derelict vessels Angela B and Ina from Gin’s Camp Beach in Far North Queensland. Operating in a remote coastal environment with challenging access and tidal conditions, the project involved vessel recovery, demolition, waste removal and site rehabilitation on behalf of Maritime Safety Queensland.

Salvage of ‘Ocean Rambler’ – Cape Bedford, Queensland

In January 2026, North Marine was engaged to remove and dispose of the derelict vessel Ocean Rambler from a remote coastal location south of Cape Bedford. The project involved vessel salvage, demolition and site remediation in an environmentally sensitive area with challenging access and tidal constraints. All materials were successfully removed and disposed of, leaving the site clean, stable and free of debris.

Bloomfield River – Far North Queensland

In August 2025, North Marine delivered cargo transport, pile removal, and pontoon installation at Bloomfield River. Using Pacific Ranger and WBIV, over 69 tonnes of cargo were mobilised, supported by onsite dive operations. An ADAS-certified team safely removed submerged piles, demonstrating North Marine’s fleet capability, flexible logistics, and expertise in high-risk environments.

Double Island Make Safe Clean Up – Cairns, Queensland

North Marine delivered the ‘Double Island Make Safe Clean Up’ project in two well-coordinated phases in May / June 2025. Operating in a remote and environmentally sensitive setting, our team successfully removed all identified derelict materials (including submerged pontoons, abandoned machinery and disused glamping structures). The project greatly enhanced site safety and environmental quality, highlighting North Marine’s capability to manage complex logistics and deliver reliable outcomes in challenging field conditions.

Pilot Boat Tow – Thursday Island to Cairns, Queensland

In late March / early April 2025, North Marine was contracted by Auriga to undertake the tow of the 14-metre mono-hull pilot vessel Dabai from Thursday Island to Cairns. This operation was essential in supporting Auriga’s ongoing marine operations in Far North Queensland, ensuring their continued capacity to deliver pilotage services in the region. The project was executed in a remote and logistically challenging environment, where experience, preparation, and precise coordination were key to its success.
