North Marine delivers a dedicated yachtie mooring installation program for recreational vessel owners requiring a new authorised mooring, complete mooring renewal or mooring relocation.
Unlike traditional mooring servicing, North Marine does not inspect, repair, service or replace individual mooring components. Existing authorised moorings are completely removed and permanently decommissioned before a brand-new, MSQ-compliant mooring system is installed at the approved location. Removal-only services and authorised mooring relocations can also be undertaken where required.
Before installation, each mooring location is assessed to confirm suitable water depth, vessel clearance and positioning. Following completion, a Mooring Compliance Certificate is provided to the vessel owner.
Works are scheduled during dedicated installation programs each February and September, allowing vessel owners to plan ahead and maintain a safe and compliant mooring system.
Please note that North Marine’s yachtie moorings are designed for recreational use under normal operating conditions and are not cyclone-rated. Vessel owners remain responsible for implementing appropriate cyclone and severe weather contingency arrangements in accordance with MSQ guidance.
