North Wharf Marine Facility is North Marine’s private waterfront base at East Trinity in the Port of Cairns. Located approximately 30–40 minutes from Cairns by road or 5–10 minutes by vessel from Marlin Marina, the facility provides direct deep-water access on all tides and a private RO/RO cargo ramp.
The facility supports vessel operations, project mobilisation and demobilisation, marine logistics, cargo handling, equipment storage and a wide range of commercial and marine projects. Extensive hardstand and laydown areas provide space for machinery, freight, containers, project equipment and materials, with warehousing and storage facilities also available onsite.
North Wharf is the operational base for North Marine’s fleet, commercial diving operations and marine projects, providing clients with access to vessels, experienced marine personnel, equipment and waterfront infrastructure from one location.
Short and long-term leasing and project-based facility access can also be accommodated.
Formerly known as Coconut Slipway, North Wharf Marine Facility is located at 71 Lee Yan Road, East Trinity, Cairns.
North Marine has more than 30 years of experience in rope fabrication, splicing and load testing for commercial and recreational marine applications.
Our team can fabricate lines to suit specific vessel and operational requirements, including mooring lines, docking lines, tow lines and hawsers.
We can also supply associated mooring and marine hardware, with rope fabrications independently inspected by a Marine Surveyor where required for quality assurance.
North Marine has extensive experience in the design, construction, installation, inspection and maintenance of marine mooring systems.
Our capability ranges from yacht and small vessel moorings through to commercial vessel and cyclone-rated mooring systems, fixed pontoons and specialist applications. Where required, mooring designs are reviewed and approved by a Naval Architect.
We support private, commercial, government and scientific clients and can assist throughout the project lifecycle, from site assessment and planning through to installation, inspection and ongoing maintenance.
North Marine can provide traditional anchor and block mooring systems as well as environmentally responsible solutions designed to minimise impacts on sensitive marine environments.
