In August and November/December 2024, North Marine supported CSIRO in conducting a Towed Camera Survey along the Great Barrier Reef between Cairns and Brisbane using the vessel Sea Horse.

Scope of Work

The operation involved deploying the 900kg deep towed camera system capable of capturing high-resolution imagery and video of the seafloor. North Marine provided expert vessel handling and logistical support, ensuring safe and efficient deployment of both the deep towed and drop camera systems in optimal conditions.

The CSIRO Towed Camera Survey successfully captured valuable seafloor imagery and species data along the Great Barrier Reef. North Marine’s expert support ensured smooth deployment and retrieval of the camera systems.
