Water Sampling & Buoy Placement (Ongoing Project) – Cairns Inlet, Queensland

North Marine was contracted by BMT to assist with buoy placement and water sampling in the Cairns Inlet in July 2024. This is an ongoing project, with operations conducted once a month to support long-term environmental monitoring.

Scope of Work

The project involved the installation of continuous monitoring stations for monthly water quality assessments in Smiths Creek.

Using the vessel Big Rig, North Marine facilitates the collecton of water quality and assurance samples by taking BMT staff out each month since July 2024 for sampling and data collection.

North Marine’s support ensures the consistent and accurate sample collection, contributing to ongoing water quality monitoring efforts and reliable water quality analysis.
