North Marine was contracted by Aurecon to conduct mud sampling in the inter-tidal areas of the Cairns Inlet.

Scope of Work

The operation was carried out using the vessel Sea Horse, with a piston corer mounted on a deck crane to drill into the seabed and extract mud samples. Conducting sampling in the inter-tidal zone required careful planning to work within tidal windows and ensure safe, efficient operations.

North Marine’s experienced crew successfully navigated the challenging conditions, delivering high-quality samples to support Aurecon’s project requirements.
