Salvage of ‘Juniper’ – Magnetic Island, Queensland
In May 2026, North Marine provided specialist salvage support for the recovery of Juniper, an approximately 25-tonne sailing vessel submerged in Horseshoe Bay, Magnetic Island. Working alongside NQ Marine Tow & Salvage, the team successfully refloated, dewatered and recovered the vessel following a challenging three-day salvage operation.
Salvage of ‘Wantok’, ‘Reunion’ & ‘Coopers Boat’ – Far North Queensland
Between April and May 2026, North Marine completed the salvage and disposal of three derelict vessels across Far North Queensland for Maritime Safety Queensland. Operating across multiple remote creek and estuary locations, the project demonstrated North Marine’s capability to safely deliver complex vessel recovery and removal works in environmentally sensitive waterways.
Bloomfield River – Far North Queensland
In August 2025, North Marine delivered cargo transport, pile removal, and pontoon installation at Bloomfield River. Using Pacific Ranger and WBIV, over 69 tonnes of cargo were mobilised, supported by onsite dive operations. An ADAS-certified team safely removed submerged piles, demonstrating North Marine’s fleet capability, flexible logistics, and expertise in high-risk environments.
War on Wrecks Salvages – North Queensland
As part of Maritime Safety Queensland’s War on Wrecks initiative, North Marine is engaged in the recovery, removal, and disposal of derelict vessels across the Cairns region. These operations aim to improve navigational safety, protect sensitive marine environments, and reduce pollution risks by removing abandoned and deteriorating vessels from coastal waterways. North Marine’s role involves tailored salvage solutions for each site, including vessel recovery, environmentally responsible disposal, and site rehabilitation where needed, while ensuring full compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
Unknown Dive Object – Channel near Thursday Island, Queensland
In November 2024, North Marine was contracted by AMSA to investigate an unknown object resting on the seafloor at approximately 15m depth in the channel near Thursday Island.
Supply of Public Mooring & RPM Maintenance Services in Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, Queensland
North Marine installs & maintains public-use boat mooring infrastructure and reef protection markers throughout the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.
Sacrificial Anode Supply, Installation & Cathodic-Protection Field Testing
North Marine‘s Commercial Dive Department was contracted to supply and install sacrificial anodes, including conducting cathodic-protection field-testing, in Cairns Harbour, Cairns Marlin Marina and Fitzroy Island in Queensland, Australia.
Bathymetric Survey Report & Seafloor Assessments – Pacific Region
North Marine was contracted to conduct site assessments and bathymetric survey reports on four proposed marine infrastructure locations in the Pacific.

North Marine is contracted to install Charleston Dam water supply infrastructure for the tender “Water Infrastructure Works – Installation Phase”, by Etheridge Shire Council, rural QLD.
Navigational Aid Inspection & Thickness Testing in the Ports of Cairns & Weipa, Queensland
