About Charter Tugboat ‘Gulf Explorer’
The tug ‘Gulf Explorer’ is a 25-meter workboat in AMSA class 2B survey. She is owned by North Marine, a tugboat company based in the Port of Cairns in Australia.
North Marine provides a suite of workboat, tugboat and towage services throughout Australia and the Pacific region.
The Gulf Explorer is configured for a range of marine tugboat or offshore support vessel charters. These include, but are not limited to, harbour towage, long-range ocean towage and tug and barge hire combinations. The Gulf Explorer is well established in delivering remote area supplies.
She has a 20-ton bollard pull capacity and cruising range over three thousand nautical miles.
There is a large, working deck area, a 30 meter³ deck hold and a onboard hydraulic crane.
Liveaboard accommodation can transport up to 16 workers, with berthage to sleep 10.
All tugboat services are tailored to suit project requirements. Comprehensive proposals, timely support and exemplary communication is guaranteed.
She is available for long-term or extended charter operations, and hourly or day-rate charters.

Tugboat charter rates include loading and unloading time, voyage time, and duration at the worksite.
If required, use of our hi-ab truck or dogman and franna crane may incur additional charges.
